Amma/Aji,
This is from Nithini's facebook status:
Upon cleaning out my dad's office at work, I found a poem that he apparently had kept, which I found very special. Oddly enough, it was the only poem in his entire office that he kept after countless years. I hope this poem can be as convalescent to others who've suffered loss as it has been to me...
"Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush...
Of quiet birds in circling flight,
I am the soft star-shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die."
